I am so happy to be feeling better,
The older one gets the harder it is to bounce back...
Exactly one month ago my sweet Granddaughter Amanda graduated with her teaching credential.
Today she is into her first full week of having her very own class of 6th graders.
she's tiny and to some of the "mothers" of kids in her class she looks like she should be a kid herself.
This first job won't be the easiest but she has always been up for a good challenge.
There are 31 kids for her to wrangle and impart her knowledge and joy of life.
The school is a Charter Public School which has its emphasis on morality and a solid background on our Founding Fathers and how our USA was created.
There are 3 Academies in our area with 4800 students enrolled and another 4800 on the waiting lists to get in. You can draw your own conclusions from this. These are all in Northern California.
I can't wait to get all the details in a few days.
Happy Tuesday

Oh that is so wonderful. How I wish she could be Tristan's teacher. Jill is hoping for a beter situation this year. His teacher this past year didn't know how to control a class. It was hard. Jill volunteered as a "Mother who cares" and that did help as she was a presence in the classroom each day.
So glad you are better and that bug was sent on it's way! I trying to stay healthy so I can have the cateract surgery on Thursday. The instructions say, no fever, no coughing, So far so good!!
I'm glad you are feeling better.
How exciting for your granddaughter. Wishing her a great school year.
That’s a big class! I wish your granddaughter a happy career. When you’re at a job you love, it doesn’t feel like work!
Sounds like not an easy job, but rewarding for sure!
she looks so happy, prayers for her first year teaching to be a great one
Lovely picture.
