A few days ago I posted Mama Dove sitting on her nest.
Then there were 2 babies in the nest.
No room for Mama any longer.
And now they are all gone and out on their own.
Such a short cycle before they are "adults".
We do hear the gentle coo of them off in our trees.
I do hope they make it in this 110F temperature.
This is the time of year we get the heat in the Sacramento Valley of CA.
I guess we will see where the Saga goes from here.

The heat sounds unbearable! Poor critters! Humans too! Stay cool, you two.
time to move that ladder, unless you like them so much you want to leave it there, maybe lean it somewhere else? they are precious. ours are cooing and talking a lot. they are teaching the babies to fly.
They are so cute. I pray that they are doing well.
I'm so glad they made it!! House Finches nest in the tree in front of our window every year. But the cats always get them.
oh how sweet. I had a nest of mourning doves in the eaves last year.
It is nice that you will be able to move the ladder now that the dove family has gone away. I have never seen a mourning dove next although we did have a lot of adult doves in our VA yard.
Just like children. The nest is full, and before you know it, they are grown with kids of their own. Maybe next year they will return to their familiar ladder home.
oh it happens so quick - they grow up and leave the nest. OMG 105. It has been in high 80's here and when I'm in the sun it's like it feels so much hotter these days. Can't imagine was 105 feels like. It's been 12 years now since I've been in mountains and not dealing with those temps.
Hope you and Dave are staying safe in AC! We just returned home after meeting up for weekly Siblings and Spouses
at our favorite coffee shop. When we left for home after 6:30 p.m. the temp was 91 degrees. Hubby is in his second week of headaches off and own through the day. He is napping now and I'm praying he feels better when he wakes up.
