4th of July Recap

I only took 4 photos on the 4th of July Celebration.

Our Son and Daughter in Law had Dave and I over for a yummilicious BBQ.

Our Granddaughter Amanda and her hubby and King of the BBQ were there too.

No photos of us chowing down on ribs, corn on the cob and potato salad

BUT

I did get pictures of us totally engrossed in a fresh apple pie.

They aren't the most flattering but now I have them for memories.

The pie was completely home made by Amanda's husband Billy.

It was his first attempt and I know it won't be his last.  This guy loves to cook and bake.  So glad he has joined our family!!

I think Billy is saying.."Well, did it pass the test?"

Yes...I think it did!

Billy can make this for us any time!!

Just too, too good!  I ate the whole thing...calories didn't count that day...

Tart and sweet, the perfect combination.

How wonderful to have a new baker in the family! The pie looks perfect and delicious. OurJulie is a good pie baker. I passing the baton on....now I get to sit and enjoy everyone elses cooking talents. Give me a cup of coffee and I'm happy to take my place with the "old folks" HaHa.

Too bad they don't live next door! Haha I would love to have anybody that would cook or bake or even shop for me. Bob loves apple pie it's his favorite for me I rather have the watermelon. I like the kind of pies that are really really bad for you like pecan pie and custard pie and coconut custard you know the ones with lots more calories and no fruit
