BELATED FATHER'S DAY POST

Yesterday was Father's Day here in the USA.

We had a great day at our son's home with BBQ and all the trimmings.

There were 8 of us family and friends just enjoying being together..

Per usual there were No photos taken!!

I don't think that I have posted this photo of my Father in Law.

He is the man on the left in this picture.

This is from the 1932 National Geographic magazine.

Dave's Dad was in the Army Core of Engineers.  They were in Nicaragua doing a canal survey.

Obviously the canal was not constructed there but the Panama Canal was made instead.

We treasure this picture from so many years ago.

My tribute to a wonderful man...

That photo of your Father in law is a wonderful treasure. Sounds like you had a nice Father's Day and a delicious meal. We had Adam, Gabby and James over and had a great day.

Handsome man in that old photo, i could just about guess the year by looking at it. I love vintage photos, even if I don't know who they are. what a treasure. its funny with all the photographers in your family that when you all get together you don't even think about it and that is good, means you are enjoying each other without technolgy stealing time

That's a nice photo! Glad you had a good day. Quiet around here - all the guys were in their respective homes celebrating. So unlike the years we all lived close by. But I did cook dinner for the Father of these guys which anymore I don't cook much. So there's that. lolol

On the left facing us, or on the actual left of the photo?
What a great memento.

I am late in reading this post, Sue, but a lovely tribute on Father's Day. Nice to read that you had a great together and memories will take the place of actual photos.
