Today would have been my Mom's 114 birthday.
She's been gone for 27 years and I still miss her.
So many times I wish I could call her or visit and tell her something that's happened.
I wish she could see how her grandchildren have grown and how their lives have turned out.
She was kind and lovely.... just like this rose that bloomed in our neighbor's
garden today.
Mom ... Heavenly Birthday ...

What a gorgeous rose! Your Mom raised you really well. I think we always start to go to the phone and call our Moms.
Sounds like that rose is a perfect example of your Mom.
Mothers, oh Sue we had lovely mothers, and I too miss mine. She took up residence in heaven in 1991. She was born 1912 so she too is over 100 in earth years. Our mom's are dancing and singing in heaven, perfect bodies, sharing in the Joy of their Savior. I finally am rested in mind and body and just finished posting on my blog after a long break. Sending love and hugs to you and Dave.
I think of my mother every day too. How fortunate we were to have such women in our lives!

Oh, I'm so sorry for your loss sweet friend! My Mom passed in '96...I was 45. A time when I really could have used her advice...
