FINALLY A PRETTY SKY

We haven't had any pretty sunsets for quite a while.

All day we had billowy clouds and I thought , oh goodie, now for a great sunset.

By the time the sun set almost all the clouds had disappeared.

Its still pretty but didn't last long enough.

Taken from the middle of our street.

Dave said lets go up to the top of the hill.  Maybe we can get some good shots.

So we jumped in the car and found a spot by a vacant field (along with about 20 other cars)

I guess we all had the same idea.

It's a perfect place to look over the city to watch any fireworks exploding...

As you can see, the clouds went off to sleep and the tiny moon took its place.

The fireworks were not  very interesting but the weather was warm (in the 70'sF)

and the breeze was perfect and we had a nice little break after working in the backyard all afternoon.

Thus ended July 4th for another year...

gorgeous sky and fab temps. when the sun went down last night we were still just below 90. I get the best sunrise views from the middle of our street, and never go out at sunset, but probably could

The two places do give entirely different perspectives, both beautiful.

I totally understand that feeling when the sky looks so promising and then all the clouds disappear by sunset. One of these times the sky will be just perfect,.

I definitely prefer that sky and sliver of moon more than fireworks.

That's a beautiful sky and such a wonderful break after yard work.
