THE MONSOON SUNDAY STYLE

This is the only photo I took of yesterday's historic Northern California monsoon.

Dave and I were too busy just trying to get the gutters unclogged and the rivers of water

diverted away from the house.

This is a terrible quality photo but it's all I got..

Too bad we don't have a picture of how we both looked after working for more than 2 1/2 hours in the pouring rain...

It would have been good for a few laughs.

Today the sun is shining and everything is dripping and running down the gutters.

Amazing cloud off to the north so I know more is on the way.

We are so thankful for our tiny sump pumps.  They kept the flooding rain away from our home.

Oh MY Goodness!!!! Don told me yesterday he had seen the monsoon on your fb. Oh you and Dave must have been drinched to the bone! We watch San Francisco football game and it poured the whole game...slipping and slidding and missing thows..it was almost comical!
The rain is starting here today..just beinging now but the forecast is for a downpour this afternoon.
I hope you and Dave don't get sick from all the time spent cleaning your gutters. I guess there are some advantages in not being homeowners.

I just dropped by from concern on the storms in your area. I'm glad to know you're okay, but my goodness...when will it stop?!!

Be safe and know you two continue to be in my prayers!!

Oh wow... what a crazy storm! That's a lot of water, and you're right... sump pumps are amazing! :)

I have heard about sump pumps, from friends from the north and my hubby when he lived in PA, but I did not know they could be used outdoors.. so glad all is well and i hope the next storm is just a normal one and not crazy like this one was...no basements in Florida or Georgia, we did have one in KY for 3 years, but that was many moons ago..
