My husband and I are attempting to sell "treasures" on eBay.
We are doing okay but as I was taking photos of our items I thought this one would be a good
one to ask the question "WHAT IS IT"
to all of you in blogdom.
Any guesses?
Answer tomorrow..
I'm having so much fun looking at the world through the lens of my Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX3. I will share my world of Rocklin, California and points North, South, East and West. Come and enjoy with me.

Something an engineer (or maybe a surveyor?) would use to convert measurements? Antique & priceless to a collector, I'm sure.
That's my guess, and I'm sticking to it.
Looks like some kind of gauge on a pen! And it also looks like maybe something that is not sold anymore.
one end is a pen, but the other end i have no clue..
My first thought was , some kind of thermometer .
If I remember correctly, my dad called these an "Amplifier" - He was a construction estimator and he used one when working with architecture drawings. It converted distances in the drawing to actual scale?
perpetual calendar ...meat thermometer ..heck i have no idea but its' interesting and kind of pretty.
