Today is Memorial Day here in the U.S.A.
We honor all who served and gave their lives for our precious freedom.
I'm grateful for all my Father in Law did serving his country.

I hope your father did not die while serving his country. Is this a real Dragonfly, or a decoration?
It is a good time to pause and focus on the sacrifice of others.
Very nice photos. When we first moved to Villa Ramona, they had a July 4th party in the clubhouse and Don won the drawing and it was the large American Flag. We have been flying it on holidays ever since. Just makes you feel good!! FREEDOM!!!

All my uncles served except my father's youngest brother. I am thankful none lost their lives, but they all came back changed and with invisible emotional scars.
I hope your holiday was as blessed as our country that has been serving & served to protect us. I'm from a military family (all branches) so, I'm all gung ho for honoring those.
