FRIDAY FEST

I didn't know what to post for this weekend.

I decided to show two of the art pieces in our home.

The first is an oil painting my Dad did way back in the late 1970's.

I acquired it after he passed away.

It hangs in our guest room and I really like the feel and simplicity of it.

The second piece hangs in our living room.

Its a photo I took about 7 years ago at Lake Tahoe.

I had it printed on canvas and framed by Canvas on Demand.

Since Tahoe is one of our favorite places to visit, we enjoy looking at it everyday.

It really looks like an oil painting too.

So there you have it...

My"Stay at Home" contribution for this weekend.

Don't forget to enlarge the pictures to see the detail.

I love them both, and they do kind of go together, with the same color scheme. Your dad's is really wonderful, he was a good artist.

Both are lovely pieces. I have some Canvas On Demand pictures in my home as well.

Nice paintings of things and places to dream of when you are inside!

I like them both and the memories both inspire make them even more precious. We printed one of my Oregon photos on canvas and hung it in our Florida house ... and I have been looking through my archives for a perfect photo for a very blank wall here in our Oregon home.

Hi Sue ~ I love the picture hanging in your guest room. And YOU know I love the canvas of Tahoe....I so miss it, and the cabin, and the times we spent together there.

both pieces of art are beautiful. I really love the feel of your dad's painting. I have several that my dad painted and these kinds of things are such treasures. That photograph is beautiful.

Very nice! It is lovely to have art that means so much to you on display in your home! I have given my sons a couple of my art pieces and I love to visit their homes and see my work hanging on the wall!
