SUTTER'S FORT LIVING HISTORY EVENT

Last Saturday hubby and I went to Sutter's Fort, Sacramento, CA.

The event was a fundraiser for childrens' educational field trips.

The field trips provide an opportunity to experience California history in a hands on way.

We had a flapjack breakfast.  The flapjacks were made from an 1800's recipe.

Quite tasty...sorry no photos...I ATE THEM all up!!

Here is the Crusty Blacksmith we ate our breakfast with.

Here is "Biscuit"... the blacksmith ... and his very knowledgeable apprentice, Evan.

This docent was full of information about the grist mill at the Fort.

All in all it was a fun morning and money well spent.
