We missed the prime time for the beautiful Iris blooms by a few weeks,
But they were still so stunning.
I have never seen so many colors and varieties.
There are actually 500 different Iris varieties there on the property.
The centers of flowers fascinate me.
there is such a vast variety of styles and coloring.
I took so many photos that it was difficult to pick only a few to show today.
Isn't this one amazing?
It is all one blossom.
The white frilly top knot just sets of the purple throat.
Remember to enlarge them for the best effect.

Gorgeous! Could a longer post be in the future, or a series of smaller ones? It is wonderful to see such beauty rather than the horrible images on the news. The High Sierra Iris gardens may have to go on the bucket list.
