ABC WEDNESDAY LETTER " G "
Here we are again posting for ABC Wednesday.
Todays letter is " G ".
Considering my history with the GOLDEN GATE Bridge,
Posting something about it was a " GIVEN ".
This is an early photo of where the GOLDEN GATE Bridge was GOING to span
the San Francisco Bay.
Here is the successful completion of that important project.
Set on the hillside above the Bay are many GRAVES.
After many years the GRASS around the military stones was worn out.
The workers were replacing the GRASS and cleaning each individual
GRAVE marker, GIVING the cemetery its proper respect again.
This photo is a throwback to 2010.
Three of our GRANDKIDS came to visit their GREAT GRANDPARENTS
GRAVESITE.
They GENTLY each placed a flower on the marker.
Tender memories of a time GONE by.

i have seen the bridge in movies and on blogs and photos but did not know about the cemetery...they did a wonderful thing cleaning it up
I only know that bridge from photographs and movies but hopefully someday i will see it for my self...
Cemetaries always have an intriging effect on me ...don't know why ...
Have a nice day,
Melody (abc-w-team)
A nice post, - bridges and cemeteries - there must be some connection!
So much history. Love the early picture before the bridge. We watched a documentary on the building of the bridge...Done with mostly man power and not all the technology of today. We still have our rivet you gave us. Love and Hugs.
You did it again! An excellent List of G-words! Have a great week.

Lots of good choices for the letter G. That is a great photo of before the Golden Gate Bridge!
Very interesting to see what it looked like without the bridge !
Yes, I was missing your weekly ABC posts. I'm glad you're back full time. You are aren't you?

I lived in SF for many years, which now seems so long ago. I can never get enough of seeing the Golden Gate Bridge. Thanks for reminding me of some happy moments. :-)
