I'm a little late with my ABC Wednesday post.
We FLED to the mountains to escape the heat
And the FIRE-smoke laden air.
Lake Tahoe is always our FIRST choice.
We FINALLY tried a different trail that led down to the Lake.
All of the FOREGROUND should be under water.
The Lupine FLOWERS are still pretty but not so much when the drought is so bad.
I like how this huge exposed root FRAMED my Hubby.
All in all, we had a FUN time despite the smokey, hazy conditions.
It's always FUN to do things with your best FRIEND.

Wow the lake is really down. I don't think I have ever seen so much shore exposed before.
I saw your pictures on fb. and just love the ones of you and Dave framed by the driftwood. Darling. Oh so sad, Tahoe looks so dry from all the years past when it was nothing but green and blue.
I love the frame of driftwood. beautiful and who would NOT escape there if they could... i do hope they get their water back soon...

Thank you for the information about the fires. All I can say is STAY SAFE! I have seen what a bush fire can do when I was in Australia a few years ago and the sight of burned houses and burned out cars is terrible.
Firstly my apologies for a late comment, i have been far to busy repairing my blog after a moval from one host to another... and taking care of other things that needed to be taken care of since my husband and i have health issues at the same time.
Beautiful pictures. I've mentioned it earlier at other participants, that is what i love about abc-wednesday, seeing places all over the world wich i do not know by myself, and problable never will too
