It was just a week ago that we were in Mendocino, CA.
We were visiting the rugged Pacific Coastline and attending a fabulous wedding.
What made it even more wonderful was the place we stayed.
We were just yards away from the Point Cabrillo Lighthouse....
Staying in the Lighthouse Keepers home.
The home was built in 1909 and had been completely restored in 2007.
What a grand old house full of antiques and cozy nooks and crannies.
Here is our view from the corner sunroom.
You can see the location in the previous photo.
The lighthouse is still active and runs 24/7.
What an absolutely perfect day!
My Hubby and I took a jaunt down to the lighthouse and visited the small museum
Located in the lower area.
No visitors were allowed up in the tower though.
The stairway was a very steep spiral.
We walked out to the point to enjoy the crashing waves .
We actually spotted a few whale spouts out too far for the camera to pick up.
The ocean power carved out some beautiful arches.
The vistas just kept coming.
I could have taken pictures all day long.
We made many memories
along the Mendocino Coast.

What a lovely place. I may have mentioned that I spent my childhood by the sea, and now that I live inland, I miss the coast so much. So I really enjoyed your photos and I am very envious! I think it's time for a trip to the ocean.
Memories are the things take make taking this journey in life so enjoyable!! The lighthouse looks wonderful. Last week you said you would enjoy hearing the song our choir was singing for Easter, I put it on today so check out my ABC entry.

A good time to come posting with your Mendocino photos. I haven't been there in many years. When I saw your thumbnail of a photo at ABC Wednesday, I could tell it was the Pacific Coast, and wondered if it was in Monterey.
