My Mom, Dad and myself at the San Francisco Zoo.
February 1946. I am 2 1/2 years old.
I love this picture because it shows the dapper clothing from that era.
I really think my Dad is handsome in his 3 piece suit and hat.
Those leggings I'm wearing are pretty cute too.
Love the faux fur coat my Mom has too.
Doesn't everyone dress like us to go to the zoo?

It must have been pretty cold. But what a picture, a real keeper. I also remember when all the ladies wore white gloves to church...
my niece has all our family fotos and in there somewhere is one just like this of me, in the same outfit. mine was red. and mother and daddy were dressed similar but no fake fur it was fake wool... we were born in the same year.. i love old photos even of people i don't know. until the 70's in Savannah women did not go anywhere without dressing up..
That is so cool. People had class back then and dressed to the nines as my aunt used to say. I have pictures of her always with a fur of some sort on...even at the zoo just like your photo here.
Oh Sue, how darling. That so reminds me of my folks at that time in my life. Dapper Dads, and lovely styling mothers. You were a cutie, but then you still are.
