THROWBACK THURSDAY
This photo was taken in June of 1948.
I was 5 years old and I guess we were celebrating our new car.
It is a Pontiac, i had a dress and shoes and hair JUST like you... and we had a Pontiac that was 2 shades of green, ours was a 53 and a little different... this one is before that, 48 or 49 maybe 50...
Phil said Plymouth, but then changed his mind to a Pontiac. So who knows which one of us is right, us or Sandra! She seems more sure, so I would go with her. At least you know it is one or the other! You are cute as can be!!
Probably a Pontiac. We had a 1941 Pontiac, but it was longer and more streamline. This one sure does look like our old Desota. You are adorable...and you've never lost that cute face. I love your face, Sue.
I'm trying play sleuth and figure out what car that was by comparing hood ornaments and emblems. The ornament and emblem both resemble those of the Cadillac Fleetwood but the car itself does not. Here's a blog full of old hood ornaments to peruse. You might have more luck identifying yours than I did.
I have a passion for photography. I use my Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX3, so come with me and see Rocklin, California and points North, South, East and West.

Oh, the memories! Such a cute little five-year-old.
No clue on the car but I remember seeing pics of my older brother with a car like this.
How cute you were, Sue.

That photo is adorable! I love everything about it!
Cars were the size of Sherman Tanks back then! What a sweet dress!
Such a neat old photo!
