ABC WEDNESDAY LETTER " D "

Welcome to ABC Wednesday and the letter " D ".

6 months ago when it was time to post the letter " D ",
life looked quite DISMAL.

My DAUGHTER in law's DAD was having serious health issues.

My son had lost his job and things looked pretty much like
the photo of the DRIED up water pump.

Six months later...
Things are DEFINITELY better.

DAD is in an Assisted Living home and happy there.

Our son has his DREAM job.

Every DAY is a new adventure.

DON'T forget to ENLARGE the photos.

If you DO enlarge them

you will see the DETAIL on this

DARK  DRAGONFLY.

We saw these DETAILED lists of

DO'S  and  DON'T'S

in Old Town Sacramento.

I am so glad I  DON"T  have to live by these strict rules.

Last, but certainly not least,
I leave you with a picture of some DAINTY wild sweet peas.

Be sure to check out what others have posted for the letter " D ".

Thank you, DENISE Nesbitt and your DILIGENT team for
making this fun link happen.

I read both of the RULES and i am trying to imagine the faces on the people who wrote these if they could see the teachers today... heart attack material for them...
i sat and stared at every detail in the pump pic... i have seen many and used many pumps like this, but have not seen the container at the bottom. i love the burned wood, the leaves in the container, every detail of that photo is beautiful.

so happy to hear life has returned to it's happy normal. God bless your son in his dream Job..

Love that your D's this time are happier than last time.

I remember how much fun we had in Old Sacramento and the School House.

Glad things are getting better. I love those rules for teachers! I'll share them with my teacher friends - times have sure changed, even in MY time being a teacher!

The rules for teachers are hilarious! Though when I became a teacher some 60 years ago, I was not allowed to wear trousers. I worked at a chool with 6 grades and so we were with 6 teachers. There were 4 male teachers and two women, who decided to wear trousers when it was very cold. We weren't allowed to wear make up either, but we did. It was fun. My sister worked at a school where she had to wear dresses with long sleeves.
Great post!

I have been wondering about the status of those "dismal" circumstances. Your post was a happy update via words and images.

Great post. I'm so glad things are looking up. All the photos are great. Dragonflies are so hard to photograph and that one is a beauty and shot so well. The rules for teachers in by gone eras are wild. I'm glad I didn't have to live in such a strict time too. Carver, ABC Wed. Team

Ah having a dream job is a dream come true indeed. Glad that things are all great again around you.

I like it when rules are laid out clear. The petticoat part got me smiling.

Off to google photos of a petticoat. A word I always encounter everywhere in readings but can't picture in my head.

I'm glad things are ok on their side.

Dainty wild sweet peas really enlivened me after the strict Do's and don't's. I wonder what will be said of our present day rules in another couple of centuries!! ;)

Beautiful water pump photo and you show the dragonfly wings to perfection. Locally we have a lot of Black Darter dragonflies although only the males are black. Glad things are looking up for you.

Those Do's and Don'ts are hilarious!!! I just don't get how being married is unseemly. Happy for your family members.

Those detailed lists are definitely ridiculous! Unbelievable! Your dragonfly is stunning, and the sweet peas are delightful, I saw a small field of yellow ones on my travels...just lovely!
