SUMMER VOYAGE
This is where my Hubby and I have been all week
and we will go back and do it all over again next week.
Its called Breakaway.
It's kids camp at our church.
This first week we had about 1200 kids and 700 volunteer staff.
Lots of activity with lots of singing, dancing
and
LOTS of LOUD!!!
A terrific drama that was a two part-er everyday
and it ended with a Cliff Hanger each day.
Keep them coming back....
and wanting more....
The kids loved it.
As you can see, they were in rapt attention to everything.
My son Steve took all the pictures I am posting.
He is one of the Church Photography Team Leads.
Lots of amazing art projects.
It's okay to get messy!
Everyone gets a chance to ride or drive the go carts during the week.
Once in a while someone needs a bandaid.
We have a great First Aid Team.
Fifth and Sixth graders had some great competition and got
Completely soaked and dirty.
Even the little 4 year olds had their own par course and lots of
great games.
Get the wiggles out so they can sit and listen to the Bible stories....
If you enlarge the photos it will show more detail.
There was even a pool built for a tow rope to let the kids surf.
I just love our Church. It is so innovative and loves kids totally.
More photos to come next week.

Kids feeling loved, accepted and having fun, what a wonderful ministry. And your son's photos are awesome. Each tells a story.
His pictures are really good, they are delightful...teamwork and fun. I can see why they put him as one of the chief photographers. I wish there had been something like this for me when I was growing up!
What a joy to look through these images, Sue!
And I can see where your son got the eye and the talent, really great captures!
Wishing you a weekend filled with many special moments,
Merisi
your son is a superb photographer, these are wonderful, i love the last one. the children look so full of joy it is contagious, i found myself smiling as i scrolled. God bless all of you volunteers.
that is great you have your photos on canvas, i have been going to do that, but our money keeps flowing out the door for 1200.00 tree removals, and pool pumps and water heaters... i do love those canvas photos
wow, these are terrific photos!
omg, your son is very talented!
have a great sunday!
:)
Got a kick out of the little boy with the plunger, making "art"... Oh lord, I worked in a paint factory (((I made a water-base textile ink))) for 15 years and that (((add a few years))) would have been me... Oh, what a mess.
This looks like the best camp ever!!! Thanks for showing us around.
