A FEW days ago my Hubby and I had a wonderful surprise.
We FINALLY won something.
There was a drawing FOR creating a meal FROM the
locally grown FRUIT, veggies and meats.
This event was provided by PLACER GROWN, which
FEATURES everything agricultural from our county,
which is Placer.
Here's what our bag FROM the FARMER'S Market included.
Blood Oranges, Myer Lemons, Walnuts, Brown Rice, Bok Choy,
Arugala, Green Garlic, Pork Chops, and a Citrus Marinade.
With the recipes included, I FIGURED I could do this.
It wasn't FANCY but it was oh so tasty.
There is nothing like eating FRESH FRUIT and FARM FRESH
veggies to satisfy the taste buds.
The menu was Butter Lettuce Salad with Citrus and Lemon Dressing,
Mandarin glazed Pork Chops
with
Stir FRIED Brown Rice with Bok Choy and Green Garlic.
FOR desert we FINISHED this FABULOUS meal with a
Buttermilk Meyer Lemon Tart.
I will definitely use these recipes again.
Yummmmm.....

Oh that is so cool. I would like the recipe for the Leomon Tart. I have lots of Meyer lemons from my neighbors tree.

it all looks good, even in the raw, but that tart has my name on it.. yummm. it was meyer lemon that ended up in my coffee. i love all things lemon..... except no lemon chicken please. and that is strange.

Oh my, must have the tart recipe. We have a Meyer lemon tree that always calls us to do something with its wonderful fruit. And this tart looks fab.
