ABC WEDNESDAY LETTER " O "

Another ABC Wednesday is ON the horizon.
I am OBLIGATED to tell you that this post is for the letter " O ".
This dear ORANGUTAN has passed ON this year.
I think his coloring is OBVIOUSLY wonderful.
He will be missed.

Here is a photo that is OVER the top.
This rider isn't really real.
It's just the OPPOSITE.
It is a phoney stunt figure
advertising OUR Adventure Sports Program
at church.

I have seen totem poles before,
but never a figure quite like this one.
How about that OCTOPUS  sitting OVER several kinds of fish?
Don't you like his ORNAMENTAL headdress?

A photo from my archives shows an assalt on the OLFACTORYsenses.
Some side streets in New York City have many bags of garbage just
sitting there.
They sometimes become an OFFICIAL banquet for the rats.
We saw them and they gave me the willies.

Go ON OVER to my ABC link ON the sidebar to OBSERVE
what OTHERS have posted for the letter " O ".

Great "Os". Great loss in the Oranatang. If I saw a banquet for rats I would have run the other way!!!!

The orang utan is so beautiful. These past few weeks the BBC broadcasts a documentary about the orang utan babies who are abandoned because their mothers were killed when the forest around them was cut down. Thanks for your great photos. Have a great week!

In America, I'm more used to seeing stacked farm animals... so this sea creature stack is unique. And in Asia, the stacked garbage as banquets for rats is oh so everyday! You always amaze me with the meme. Sad the orangutan is gone.

[My blogging has been very spotty the past months and not sure how long that will last... but HELLO from across the big blue pond!]

Orang utan literally means people of the forest, aptly named as they rule the jungle. We have several of the orangutan here in our zoo, very docile animal and very intelligent.

You come up with some of the most amazing photos for this meme! Sad to hear of the orangutang passing. I really like them.

R.I.P., dear Orangutan. I hope you enjoyed a happy, long life with compassionate people, and fear the plight of your brothers and sisters in their native habitat is dire. I always thought it fun that "orangutan" are orange and have most of the word in their name!

Though you gave my post such generous kudos, you definitely win a major prize for the sea life totem pole! That is amazing and unique and I love it! (You also get a gold star and bonus points for working in "Olfactory.") :-)

Beautiful orang-outang, hope he had a happy life. Like the swirling bicyclist, the skate park near me is where the do the tricks for real.

What a wonderful array of photos for O.

NYC's rats give me the creeps too. On the other hand, I'm sorry that charming orangutan is no longer with us. Actually, I love all your O choices.

I saw London once like that. The street were overflowing with garbage. What a mess. The garbage men had gone on strike. You are so versatile and abundant with your words for each letter.

I love your collection of O's :) What a fun post! I'm sorry about the orangutang not good at all. :(

Sad about the orang-outang Sue. You fooled me with the stunt bike - Dave

What a wonderful group of photos. Too bad about the orangatan but I think they generally live a long time so hopefully he had a good life. Have a wonderful weekend.
