ABC WEDNESDAY LETTER " H "
The letter for ABC Wednesday is " H ".
This first picture can also be for Carmi's theme of Transportation,
so check HIS link too.
In the 1930's and 40's the HIGH - HAND fruit and flower packing plant
was in its HAYDAY.
Produce was shipped from HERE to there, all over the U. S.
The HARD-WORKING truck would HAVE been a HAZARD
without a lightbulb in its HEADLAMP.
This is definitely not a HOT ROD to create alot of HOOPLA over.
Be it HAWAII or somebody's garden, one can always find
HEAVENLY HIBISCUS such as this one to enjoy.
I don't think they are HUMDRUM at all.
In fact it looks like a HUMDINGER of a flower to me.
I HOPE the rope is secure or the HAY-BALE could cause
HAVOC in the HAYLOFT.
Make it a HABIT to enlarge the photos and HAVE a look at the detail.
HOP on over to Mrs. Nesbitts link on my sidebar to see what's HAPPENING at ABC Wednesday.

A Hay-bale of this style would have been admirably suited for the car.
Excellent H photos! Loved the commentary that accompanies the photos.
Terrific H shots for the day! And very interesting ones as well! I, too, love your commentary! Hope your week is going well! Enjoy!

You certainly HAVE a way with words!I've never HEARD of this company! But I love the HEADLIGHT, almost unrecognizeable in such an old vehicle and without a bulb. And the HAY!! The bale is framed by the sky and HEADING up to HEAVEN!!
That was a Heap of Happy Hs! :-)
If only this truck could talk! There is something magical about these vehicles. I feel like reaching for the handle and just holding it.
I love this series. It's so rich with imagery from a time and a place that, despite being removed by history, are still close enough to experience - as you've helped us do here.
Thank you for sharing this as part of this week's Thematic theme. I love it!
nice shots, all :) good H photos, PW! :D
Great choice for the theme. Love your shots!
ABC Wednesday-H
I was wondering about that round thing until you told me it needed a light to work! Funny how you only know things when they are fully functional.
What a fun post for H day. Enjoyed it. ; )
I like all of your choices for H very much. The hay bale against the blue sky makes a stunning shot.
Brilliant H-post! I always come here with high expectations to read your post. And I am never disappointed : you are so clever with words.
Have a great Wednesday!

Oh, a very clever use of H's - nice pictures and great comments.
Highly enjoyable photos - I'm so fond of hibiscus! Hay, not so much. :) And the headlamp is a good reminder for me to check my old car before I hit the city streets tomorrow!
love the HISTORY of this post.

Great assortment of Hs! I hope that hay bale is secure, also!
Great story and pix for the week! Love the hibiscus - I have several in my garden!
What a fun post with wonderful photos!
Amazing choice of words and beautiful images.
I always enjoy coming over to see your photos and how you've pulled all the letters together into a story. Good job!
Had the grandsons today, so didn't get a chance to look until this evening. As usual, love all your pictures.
You really know your Alphabet!!!!
Wow-what a great series of shots and writing to go with it! It has a sense of history to it, the stories that go with it too.
Great job! Can you hear the applause from here?
You are clever with all of the 'hhh's' Sue - Dave
Wow, Sue! You really work hard on your posts for this meme. Great collection of photos and narrative as well...clever. I just posted my photo and since I've been away for so long, I was amazed at the improvement for ABC's site!
Love it! Great H post! Definitely love the Hay-bale!
Glad to have found your site. I too love looking through the lens of my camera and sharing my photos and my life. Great "H" post absolutely delightful. Johnina :^A
Lovely Hibiscus!!
Your hot rod headlamp pic made me laugh! I also love your first pic and what's not to like about hibiscus flowers. So heavenly.
You really have a gorgeous photos for H! I LOVE that hibiscus!
Who does not love a piece of rust and chase it down for a photo. The hibiscus is beautiful, and hay, well I seem to have been travelling behind a lot of it recently.
You're always so clever with your abundant ABC words! I'll bet if a car fanatic got hold of that hot rod, it would be shined up, looking like new in no time!
Nice job! I still have plans to get to High Hand Nursery for a mother/daughter lunch in the near future!
You're equally creative with your use of H words as you are with your beautiful photography. A very impressive collection.
