ABC WEDNESDAY LETTER " H "

The letter for ABC Wednesday is " H ".
This first picture can also be for Carmi's theme of Transportation,
so check HIS link too.
In the 1930's and 40's the HIGH - HAND fruit and flower packing plant
was in its HAYDAY.
Produce was shipped from HERE to there, all over the U. S.

The HARD-WORKING truck would HAVE been a HAZARD
without a lightbulb in its HEADLAMP.
This is definitely not a HOT ROD to create alot of HOOPLA over.

Be it HAWAII or somebody's garden, one can always find
HEAVENLY HIBISCUS such as this one to enjoy.
I don't think they are HUMDRUM at all.
In fact it looks like a HUMDINGER of a flower to me.

I HOPE the rope is secure or the HAY-BALE could cause
HAVOC in the HAYLOFT.
Make it a HABIT to enlarge the photos and HAVE a look at the detail.
HOP on over to Mrs. Nesbitts link on my sidebar to see what's HAPPENING at ABC Wednesday.

A Hay-bale of this style would have been admirably suited for the car.

You certainly HAVE a way with words!I've never HEARD of this company! But I love the HEADLIGHT, almost unrecognizeable in such an old vehicle and without a bulb. And the HAY!! The bale is framed by the sky and HEADING up to HEAVEN!!

That was a Heap of Happy Hs! :-)

If only this truck could talk! There is something magical about these vehicles. I feel like reaching for the handle and just holding it.

I love this series. It's so rich with imagery from a time and a place that, despite being removed by history, are still close enough to experience - as you've helped us do here.

Thank you for sharing this as part of this week's Thematic theme. I love it!

I was wondering about that round thing until you told me it needed a light to work! Funny how you only know things when they are fully functional.

Highly enjoyable photos - I'm so fond of hibiscus! Hay, not so much. :) And the headlamp is a good reminder for me to check my old car before I hit the city streets tomorrow!

Wow-what a great series of shots and writing to go with it! It has a sense of history to it, the stories that go with it too.
Great job! Can you hear the applause from here?

Who does not love a piece of rust and chase it down for a photo. The hibiscus is beautiful, and hay, well I seem to have been travelling behind a lot of it recently.

You're always so clever with your abundant ABC words! I'll bet if a car fanatic got hold of that hot rod, it would be shined up, looking like new in no time!

Mrs. Me said...

Nice job! I still have plans to get to High Hand Nursery for a mother/daughter lunch in the near future!

You're equally creative with your use of H words as you are with your beautiful photography. A very impressive collection.
