ABC WEDNESDAY LETTER " Y "

Here we are at the next to the last letter of the alphabet.
Half the YEAR is gone and we are down to " Y ".
I wanted to show YOU some of our YEARLY YIELD of our own plums from our tree.

We have shared so many with friends and family.
There is just enough for one or two more YUMMY Plum Kuchens.
YESTERDAY we picked the last juicy batch.

Summertime often means YELLOWJACKET wasps like to join my picnic in the YARD.
I like this kind of YELLOWJACKET much better. No stings.
Just YOUNGSTERS having a great time riding one at the County Fair.

I had to add a shot from our trip to Kenya. Its hard to believe it was just one YEAR ago this month.
The YOUNG kids are in charge of caring for their YOUNGER brothers and sisters.
They have a much harder life than YOU or I do.
If you are YEARNING to see what others have posted go to Mrs. Nesbitts link on my sidebar.

Great collection of Y's, - the plums just make my mouth water, and the thoughts of Kuchens make me want to go down and inspect the plum trees to see if they are ripe yet, - alas, I don't think so.

I haven't had plum pie for such a long time, I wish you could send me some of those plums. I have a pear tree that is loaded with baby pears that should be ready in August.... perhaps we could do a fruit exchange??

How lucky to have a plum tree in your yard. I'd like a peach tree, too. Yum!

Wonderful pictures! I'm finishing up the last of the frozen plums. The new crop won't be ready here until mid-September. Hope to have another good batch. They freeze well.

Those plums look so good! A lot of fruits are too acidy for my taste, but not plums

It's a very different way of life, to be sure! I do remember my mother (being the eldest of five) had to spend her life looking after her siblings too, but though life was hard and they were poor, she was happy.

Love the plums. Mmmm - they look good!

The plums on the tree look beautiful and I would love to pick one out of the bowl, delicious. Cute wasp, and children. Doesn't seem a year since you were posting all those lovely African photos.

Ohmygoodness! Those plums! You are indeed fortunate to be able to have such a wonderful fruit, just waiting to be picked. :-)

Your other photos represent memorable moments. I may not do this meme again for awhile, but it's been fun!!

Fruit is so photogenic. I've never seen a bad picture of fruit... maybe because people who take pix of it are good! Who but a photographer would snap fruit?
