Spiral staircases make me dizzy as well. Especially going down as it's a lot easier. Once you're level again, you either have to walk or sit. Just standing makes you fall over! Experience here...
Lots of S's in that photo - love the steps but I wouldn't want to be there! The stained glass is exquisite and the Golden Gate is truly hard to beat for beauty! Hope the sniffles disappear quickly.

What s super S photo your first is. There is something fascinating about spiral staircases, I've seem to have had a unplanned run of them, ranging from the treacherous to the effortless, in holiday accommodation. Great photos.

I got 6 S words in the first shot as well. Love the uniqueness of the photo. The stairwell does indeed make one feel dizzy...I think the bricks have a lot to do with it. I love the bridge the best!

PS I may have given the impression that St Anne's pier is unused - not so - the landward side is still open - it is just the seaward side that has been lost.
