Today is ABC Wednesday again and the letter is " P ".
This is the Pachyderm Parade. They always walked single file. It looked like a parade.
We loved seeing these amazing animals on our Kenya safari.
The word Pachyderm means thick skined animals. The "Pint-sized" baby was fun to watch.
It never strayed far from the patient mother.
I wonder how this Pachyderm lost her tusk. I hope it wasn't Poachers. The Kenyan Game Reserve has had a lot of trouble with Poachers trying to gain their fortunes from ivory and the pelts of the Big Cats.

Sometimes I think I need to have some of that pachyderm skin.
Here's a little paradox I just pondered - Pachyderms pack alot of weight and yet look peculiarly graceful.

The second photo especially has so much movement in it, even though it's a static photo.
Beautiful and graceful animals. I wondered how old the 'one tusk' was so looked at the baby elephant to compare. Guess if you start out wrinkly, no worries about getting wrinkles as you age.
How fun to see that! Sometime in my lifetime I would live to go on a safari!

Wonderful photos. It's funny isn't it, how they walk single file and sometimes take a tail in the trunk of the one ahead. Is that only in circuses?
