ABC WEDNESDAY LETTER " S "

ABC Wednesday is upon us again. Today's letter is " S ".
This past weekend our family took a road trip into the High Desert of California. We visited a ghost town called Bodie,
Its there that I found my letter " S ".
Peering into a window I saw the sole of an old work shoe. Simply perfect. It was sitting on the window sill waiting for me to snap the shot. So...I did.
Sunshine and shoe soles, what more could I ask?
For more ABC Wednesday posts go to Mrs. Nesbits link on my sidebar.
Super-sizing this shot will show a lot of detail.

I fell for the photo of the sole - it should be able to tell a whole history.

I like that photo, it reminds me a bit of a Dutch painter who used to paint old and discarded things (Jopie Huisman).

Hey Sue. Been missing you.

I'm sure there are some interesting stories that old boot could tell. I wonder where its mate is?

There is something about old shoes that fascinates me. They have been in places where they were useful for the owner. What have they done?
Good choice to go with my stockings!

An abandoned shoes in a ghost town. This is interesting photo and your idea to post it is just original. This dusty shoes make me wonder who was the person who once wore it.

"S"o, you went to Bodie? First time? Quite an experience, huh? Hope you had a great trip.

My first visit to Bodie was when I was barely a teenager, but I instantly fell in love with the place... That was before the parks department started their "preservation" project (or whatever they call it) -- since then they've fixed the place up quite a bit, and I'm almost sure they've salted the place with a few artifacts. Delightful place, none the less... I need to make a trip back to that area soon...

I think this shoe must have seen a lot of hard work; what a story it could tell! Thanks for sharing this week.
