ABC WEDNESDAY LETTER " M "
Today's letter challenge is " M ".
The Mosaic birdbath is my choice for the letter M.
Vintage plates were broken and set into the soft clay to create a lovely mosaic pattern.
Go to Mrs. Nesbitts' link on my sidebar to see what others have chosen for ABC Wednesday.
Be sure to click on the photo to see all the different plate designs enlarged.

that is one beautiful birdbath! I like it...
I enlarged it, and wow, it's such a pretty mosaic pattern for the bird bath. The birds got lucky here.

Nicely made birdbath. Hope the vintage plates weren't valuable? - Dave
Beautiful and creative use of fine shards! :-)
This is really a beautiful choice for the letter "M". The birdbath and mosaic pattern are really very attractive.
Now that is a birdbath fit for a Roman bird. Wow. Never saw one before.

Such a good idea to make a mosaic birdbath! It's lovely!
Did you make that? It's gorgeous!! I love old crockery, and it's often hard to find a good use for the cracked and broken pieces.
Sorry, that last comment was me!

unique and very pretty, Sue.
I've seen how they do this in a video and it's facinating. It also looks like fun to do.
Your eyes just travel all over this photograph.
The colors are just wonderful.
Hi Photowannabe Sue,
I'm afraid I fell behind on last Wednesday and didn't have a chance to get to everybody -- I missed your mosaic, I'm afraid...
Although the business folded a few years ago, after a 50 year run, my aunt operated an arts and crafts business in San Rafael that got it's start by selling little mosaic tiles imported from Japan... When I was a kid, and when we visited, I used to help bag up grout...
My husband's colleague makes all manner of broken mosaic things, including birdbaths, and I find them very beautiful.
this is gorgous! I would love to have this, but would be hesitant to put it outside.
