WEATHER ONLY FIT FOR GEESE AND DUCKS

Thanks everyone for your concern for us during the worst of the storm. We are doing just fine. Very soggy but no real damage. We got a pump going and took care of some potential flooding in our yard.
The official tally said we had 2 and 3/4 inches of rain in one day. That's a lot of water to come down. The ground is pretty saturated so if we get more high winds or tremendous downpours there could be some problems.

les cygnes sont rentres pour ne pas être pris dans la tempête. une belle photo très nostalgique je trouve

Swans were returned to avoid being caught in the storm. A beautiful picture I find it very nostalgic

Looks like the geese survived with their hearts intact. Glad to hear you didn't fare badly.

Those geese should be out in the yard enjoying the water.

Actually, lots of people got lots of water recently. You are lucky to not be among those who got a lot more.

And did you hear that in California they were getting up to 10 feet of snow?

Wow.

I am glad to see this beautiful post of yours. I’ve heard on the TV that you lost the electricity because of the storm so I was thinking about you. I am glad that you are fine and safe.:-)

Better get the waterwings and the inflatable mattresses pumped up just in case!
We have been seeing pictures of the California weather on the TV news here in S Ontario, Canada. It looks awful!
Keep treading water!

Thanks for your comment about my bread. I make my own bread all the time, ususally mix it with the aid of a bread machine but I often bake it in the oven, and believe me, it's very delicious!

I'm glad the storm has not caused you major problems! Love those ducks and geese; they look like Shaker style to me.

Glad to hear that you've withstood the storms. The geese certainly look happy, though.

Such wacky weather, we are expecting 60 degree temperatures in NYC tomorrow. Crazy!

Wow! That water looks amazing. I used to live in Huntington Beach. I do not even remember it ever hardly raining! Thaks for your comments to my blog!

Great idea to post the geese :).

Yes, I'd say that the ducks and geese should be sitting pretty even if all the humans are sitting up high, holding their feet up. Stay dry.

Hi Sue!
We remember those wet winters from life in So Cal. Hope you dry out soon.....although I am sure you could use the rain!

Crazy weather. You're getting 10 kinds of wet. My nieces in Lake Arrowhead, CA, had a snowday today so no school. And in Minnesota, the cold snowy state, it was 40 degrees, the snow was melting and the birds were singing. Crazy weather indeed.
