A gray leafless day in Rocklin, California. This was a few days ago. Today the sun has come out and all's right with the world.
I really like how this one looks enlarged. The seed balls show up well.
I'm having so much fun looking at the world through the lens of my Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX3. I will share my world of Rocklin, California and points North, South, East and West. Come and enjoy with me.

much as i love lush trees, i love these dark, mangled silhouettes of leafless trees too...what's there not to love in nature? :)
I do like being able to see the shapes of trees without leaves. Those are cool seeds. Is this a sycamore/plane tree?
I'm ready for sun myself!
Thanks for telling me in your comment at Flying that this is likely a sycamore, one of my favorites!
Oh it looks cold! It looks like here!
Wow. that's an entirely different image enlarged. Beautiful!
Cor sure looks winter and bare. Makes a great photo tho.
The photo is interesting and it really looks more beautiful when it is enlarged. The seed balls are beautiful decoration on the leafless branches.
BeautifuL!
Lovely tree!
Neat shot, I agree I enlarged it and wow!
This is a cool shot. I am going back and enlarge it now.
great shapes.
Ah....you know I am a huge lover of trees! This one is FANTASTIC! There is something about a gray day and a tree silhouette that makes my heart sing! :)
the branches lend the tree such a distinct and beautiful shape ...and the artistry can only be seen when the tree is bare... nice shot....
I remember when my husband was alive, this was when he asked me to take photos of trees. He was an artist and he wanted to make sure of the proper way that certain trees were formed and growing and this is the best time to find out. Lovely pic.
