THE LAST OF THE POMOGRANETS

There are a few Pomogranetes still hanging on our leafless tree. They look like red ornaments leftover from Christmas.
If you want to see the detail just click on the photo.
I'm sorry I haven't gotten to everybody's blog for a few days. Sometimes LIFE just gets in the way.

Great detail you captured there. Love the little drops at the bottom... Those are just way cool. I haven't seen one of these growing since I as a kid and we had one in the backyard. Brings back memories of eating them.. How fun!!! Haven't had one in years :) :)

And I thought these only grew in the middle east. Now you educate me and bring me up-to-date. How could I have been so long in learning this? I think this is a beautiful fruit.

We can't grow these in CT. I had one in the greenhouse but it gave up the ghost after a few years. I love the photo.

I was visiting for ABC and I wanted to wish you a Happy New Year!

Beautiful photograph, with colours that charm, but also subject exceptional.
The old persons in my homeland, him used for her re-establishment their health, say also, that the pomegranate, brings big chance and happiness.
I wish in 2008 it is the year of pomegranate for you.

It sure does remind one of a Christmas ornament!

That was a great guess on my mystery image! You nearly pegged it!

beautiful pic today. I love the strong color contrast and the contrast between the life in the pomogranet and the lifelessness of the tree.

I don't know why I haven't eaten these lately; there was a time that I used to eat them as one would eat apples---many, many, many. Such a wonderful photo!!~

Cool shot. My wife loves those things. I can't figure out how to eat them. I think she just chews up the seeds.
