ABC WEDNESDAY LETTER " V "

Today is ABC Wednesday and the letter is V, which stands for VOLCANO Crater.
The picture was taken last year when Hubby and I visited Nicaragua. Our host family drove us to this beautiful vista point. There are many active volcanos in Nicaragua though this one is not. Lake Nicaragua can be seen in the far background.
Enlarge the photo to see all the detail.

Wow. That is a big lake in that volcano and must have taken decades to fill with water.

Wow, what a wonderful sight and the lake like a mirror for the clouds. I like its reflection in the water. Great photo, indeed!

Stunning...simply amazing! I love the offset composition and how the cloud echo the shape of the foreground.

I didn't realize you were in Rocklin...I'm not far (just the other side of Sacramento).

Good choice for a V. You visited on a lovely day with clouds to be reflected in the water. How lucky you were to travel to such unique location.

An incredible beautiful vista! Do you know what this long-stretched white building in the background is?

This is very familiar. Rabaul is built on a caldera - Simpson's Harbour - a huge crater that is now flooded by the sea. Around the edges are the extinct and active volcanoes that we see today!!!

It is a stunning picture. Bloggers really irritates me tho; enlarging the photo is not the same anymore. They have been fooling around with banners and picture size. Grrr!! And, I really wanted to see it enlarged but not THAT big!

What an awesome shot this is! The reflections here are beautiful. I haven't been here for a while, so I'm catching up. I also love the kissing octopus from yesterday; made me laugh out loud! Hope you have a blessed Christmas and an excellent new year! -T
