I'm having so much fun looking at the world through the lens of my Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX3. I will share my world of Rocklin, California and points North, South, East and West. Come and enjoy with me.

Superb photo! I love how sharp it is and the details when it's enlarged.
That's hilarious. I bet the guys really jerked thier heads around.
Beautiful picture Sue.

Yes, that is the only name I know about this lily, too.
We have few in the neighbourhood, and it come out of nothing for surprise.
My mom has some of these in her yard! Thanks for the memory. (I hope you come to Sequim too! Would love to show you around.
LOL, great name and a lovely pic. I can almost smell those lilies..
Hilarious!
Pretty flower though.
Hi P, Hahahahah what a name for a flower, I will remeber that, cute words and nice photo1
Have a smiling :) Sunday JoAnn
Nice shot, Sue... Yep, this is certainly the time of year for Naked Ladies...
And yes, it's more fun to call them Naked Ladies, but their real name (I Googled it) is the Belladonna Lily, a.k.a. Amaryllis belladonna...
These flowers are new to me and they're lovely. Wonderful shot.
I can just imagine the tourists swivelling around to get a glimpse of the flowers when you called out the name. I didn't know about your background leading tours; I'd love to read more of your tour guide stories.
Those are lovely. I never heard that name before.
Now you've gone and done it! My wife was checking the history list to find a website she had looked at earlier in the day and came across my visit at "Naked Ladies". Of course I blamed it on the dog. ;-)
Beautiful Ladies ... :-)
these are lovely flowers. I lived in Loomis for a few months, then we moved 'down' to Sacramento area. I remember foggy days when we were 'above the clouds'
Strong and feminine, what gorgeous flowers and the photo too.
Ladies - definitely - but charmingly dressed, I would like to say!
and the photo of these ladies is just worth them :)
Naked ladies? Talk about a marketing tactic! V. fun!
Coucou ! Hi !
First visit here for me...
For a long time, I ever see your name on Olivier or Tim Rice's blogs.
Your pictures are neat and so different the ones from the others
I like flowers, especially when they are photographed as you did in the light and the background in the shadow
Beautiful...
c'est un jolie nom pour une belle fleur.
it is pretty a name for a beautiful flower.
Beautiful photo. Lily is one of my favorite flowers.
What a stunning lilies! I enlarged the photo to see better that beauty and I was amazed. The light pink petals are shining brightly as if they are dust with diamond powder.
I wonder if they earned that name because they are so spectacular and right in-your-face.
Or maybe it's a name given with a little smirk since their real name of Belladonna lilies reminds one of the sleep potion. Maybe the namer was thinking that like many naked ladies, they just put you to sleep.
Oh well, enough wondering for the moment. Have a dreamy day, Sue.
He,he...
Gorgeous!
What a beautiful photo - the soft pink of the lilies is very pretty!
It took about 2 long seconds between the time the title was on screen and the image was displayed. You certainly had me wondering :)
Beautiful flower...
joan
gorgeous
muy buena...
Saludos.
what a pretty color!!!! lilies are such elegant flowers and have such personalities....i believe these ones are also called Resurrection Lilies !
We have a well-known rock band here in Canada called The Bare Naked Ladies.... and they are all men!
Lovely picture, I love the pale pink.
Hi photosue! I was just updating as you were posting a comment. Lovely blooms-I think I've also heard them called magic lilies. Wasn't Amaryllis the name of Ron Howard's little friend in the original "Music Man?"
Beautiful flowers and a really nice photo.
They are called resurrection lilies around here because they just appear with no warning. The first time I heard them called naked ladies, I was shocked.
