LONE PINE

My husband and I drove along Highway 89 and followed Lake Tahoe to an overview looking down on the Emerald Bay inlet. The air was crisp an the wind was really picking up. I find it amazing how the trees can find a foothold in the granite and put down roots.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone.

It's amazing how nature finds a way to grow wherever she wants.

I loved hearing all about the wonderful produce that game from your yard. What a blessing. Can you believe that I kept wondering off and on about it this summer?

Another stunner. Pine trees sure are some hardy souls aren't they. It's difficult to believe that it can get the nutrients to grow there.

Pines are the best on the places like this rock.
I could take your photo on my wall as big as possible for our long, dark winter :)
Have a happy Sunday, Sue!

What a lovely picture, and such a blue blue sky. It's amazing how Mother Nature gets a foothold in the tiniest crevice!

That's my perfect picnic spot. Sat leant against a friendly pine eating sandwiches and coffee taking in the view.

This is another one that should be decorating the wall of that new home. You nailed this one! In B&W, it would look like something Ansel Adams would have done.
