I'm having so much fun looking at the world through the lens of my Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX3. I will share my world of Rocklin, California and points North, South, East and West. Come and enjoy with me.

Even it's not my era, I love listening 50's songs. They were everlasting songs :)

it has the look indeed very “american graffiti” (a superb film, I adore the actor Richard Dreyfuss). It is superb
Do you have a favorite, Sue?
Reminds me of the diner in one of those "Back to the Future" movies!
Nice jukebox. I would love to have my own at home!

Sue, Love the photo--is also is my era! I would love to bestow upon you The Schmooze Award which reads: The 'Power of Schmooze Award' is The Award for bloggers who “effortlessly weave their way in and out of the blogosphere, leaving friendly trails and smiles, happily making new friends along the way. They don’t limit their visits to only the rich and successful, but spend some time to say hello to new blogs as well. They are the ones who engage others in meaningful conversations, refusing to let it end at a mere hello - all the while fostering a sense of closeness and friendship". The icon is on my blog, if you care to accept and use it. Normally you then bestow the award on 5 different people. But, it isn't necessary. Have fun!
Sue: I remember the songs of the late 50s, classics in my opinion! And being played on a juke box... great stuff. They don't have juke boxes in cafes any more do they... not like to good old days!
the 50's were the best, weren't they. I love that juke box. It brings back so many memories.
It is not my era, but I love that music, too. My iPod is full of 50s music, especially the doo-wop songs ("In the still of the night, I held you, Held you tight ...").
Great songs sung that you could (gasp!) actually understand the words ("See the pyramids along the Nile, watch the sunrise on a tropic isle ...").
Those are the classics.
Blather From Brooklyn
i love old diners like this! great shot!
we had one back in NC with the black&white checkered floors, metallic stools at the counter and a jukebox, too. even though it wasn't my era, it is nostalgic for me.....like going back in time.
Looks like the new card worked!
Really nice shot. Well done.
I love period places like that.
I think we went to a Mel's in Florida.
Love the effects of the sun in this shot!! The jukebox makes such a great focal point. Love this shot!!
Hi Sue!
How are you doing? Hope you had a great Labor Day weekend. I LOVE Mel's Diner. Something about the jukebox and down-home America feel just makes for a darn good time. :-)
A blast from the past...nicely done!
Nice image. Has a good feel to it.
Now this brings back memories.
