The Railyard at Old Town Sacramento. Seeing all the old trains out in the yard made me think of the childrens song: Down By The Station.....
Down by the station early in the morning
See the little pufferbellies all in a row
See the Station Master pull the little handle
Chug chug, toot toot
Off they go.
My son has just started to blog. Take a look at his site. Mr. Mapper is the site name. You can find his information on my previous post.

Yay, trains. Yay, Mr Mapper. I shall go look for him.
A blogging family!
Isn't it fun to have a family member join in the fun!
Rust & Shadows, looks great! And what kid of the B-Boomers doesn't love trains?
My blog has moved. It is now at countrycaptures.blogspot.com
I used to lvoe the old train museum in Sacramento. I'm envious.
Good to see you out exploring your new community. And your son's blog is nice! Love to see your granddaughter's hands playing piano. I just took a photo of my daughter playing last week when she was home from NY, and she's now 26. :)
I often wonder if those things would really stop a train.
Railroads have a special fascination. I think that if you go to Slinger's post on 8/13, you'll see some similarities in thought between this post and his: http://www.twincitiesdailyphoto.com/
I look at that and wonder how much it would take for the train cars to destroy that piece of steel on the track.
Nice photo.
