THE DREAMER
While in Golden Gate Park (San Francisco) yesterday we discovered this huge sculpture. When my husband stood next to it he came up to the eyebrows. He is 6 feet tall, so I would imagine this purple head is almost 12 feet tall and at least that in width.
"The Dreamer" is by Pepe Ozan and built in collaboration with Elonifer Skyhawk.
It is a temporary exhibition that will run through November of 2007.

elle est tres belle cette statue, et tres originale. Je pense que les enfants doivent adorer venir jouer dessus
it is very beautiful this statue, and very original. I think that the children must adore to come to play above
I like it alot! Very interesting! and the choice of colour is quite bizarre.
LOL I LOVE it!
It looks more pink on my browser though...I hope it is BRIGHT purple in real life...you know, just for fun.
Wonderful huge sculpture, and I like the color, very interesting! ^_^
The color is the first thing I noticed! Very cool shot.
I think I have seen everything now!! :) :)
I don't find anything at all like this growing in Pennsylvania fields!!

I really like this! It would look great in my yard. :)
Wow what neat shots you posted while I was out! I love the Sutter's Fort shot. And this one is quite interesting.
Hello Sue and the Dreamer!
I would like to see an environment, where this sculpture is located.
Your dream is quite near now - living in a new house.
Very nice weekend to you and your family!
interesting with the semi mask :) looks like Zsolt will like it...he's quite a collector of mask. How big is the scale of this entire exhibition?
That's prettty neat. I like things like this.
He's probably purple because he can't breathe with his nose underground!!
Cool!
Temporary exhibit? They'll need a crane to remove it! Thanks for sharing. Your photos are always very enjoyable.
wow..its impressive. My first association was the sculptures on the Easter Islands
Cool statue, and funny comments! :)
Looks kinda wierd, but I guess it would liven up a walk in the park to see things like this from time to time.
Definitely would wake up my mind; make me more aware of what's around me.
Oh, what a wonderful shade of purple coming up out of the vibrant green grass. I love public art and it is great to just stumble across it, isn't it?
Big Brother! :)
