I'm having so much fun looking at the world through the lens of my Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX3. I will share my world of Rocklin, California and points North, South, East and West. Come and enjoy with me.

Hi Photo! Beautiful shot! Ya know? At first glance, down in that hole in the center of the stump, it looks like one of those big-nosed "rhesus?" or maybe it's "howler" monkeys peeking out! Funny! :)
Yes, even a cut tree can be beautiful!
It's nice that this is in its natural state too, rather than polished and shined up and made into a coffee table base or something. I think it is very nice to look at, right there where you took the photo.
Very nice colors... Great detail too... Very nice photo, indeed...
Wood like this is one of my favorite things. When my husband cuts wood for our wood stove, I love to see what the grain will be like in the logs. Glad you appreciate it too!
Great textures. I love tree shots. Each of them is different.
I really like the textures too, and love the title.
Hi!
That's a beautiful shot! So real... i can imagine passing my hand by and feel the texture! nice captured!
Love the texture.
I agree with you. The old tree, wood stump, drift weed. All of these are favourite subject. To find good one, I need to move real slow to find details I want. Good capture Photowannbe.
the map of australia ....
a map of time
a map of rain
a map of routes to nowhere
How cute! Looks like a bear
Well done. Looks fabulous enlarged.
There is something about trees! They do make wonderful pictures!!
When the page opened and I first glanced at this shot for some reason it drew me in... Maybe it was the angle or the color or the small abstract feel..never the less it is a great shot.. I like I like I like
autiful subject . A nice image!
wow! so love the grain in the wood!
I think old wood ALWAYS has interesting lines and colors. I like this shot a lot.
Excellent colors details and textures!
I agree with you! :)
the lines can determine the age of the tree :)
