ABC WEDNESDAY LETTER " T "

TOMORROW we TRAVEL TO Lake TAHOE for a THREE day TRIP.
It seems THERE are TRACES of snow all around the Lake. THERE was just a snow storm last week.
How crazy for THE end of May.



I am so ready TO see some TERRIFIC scenery.
We haven't been in quite a while and it will be fun TO visit with friends we haven't seen in almost TWO years.



We'll be able TO see THE TALL TIMBER perched in the granite outcroppings.



If THE winding road is open we may be able TO see THE TEA HOUSE located in Emerald Bay.
We won't be home until THURSDAY. I will get TO your posts as soon as I can.

WARM WEATHER PLEASE HURRY !

My cherries need some warm summer time weather to do their thing.



I'm hoping the sunshine will bring out the sugar so we can have some scrumptious Bing Cherries.

ABC WEDNESDAY LETTER " R "

I would be REMISS if I didn't REMINISCE about our safari in the RIFT Valley of Kenya.
The RADIATING RAYS of the early morning sunRISE made our team feel REVITALIZED.



I love the RAMBUNCTIOUS baby RUMINANT giraffes. These are called RETICULATED giraffes for the pattern on their hides.
If you enlarge this picture you can RECOGNIZE the drying umbilical cord coming from the newborn giraffe on the RIGHT.



Now for a RANDOM change of pace.
I thought the RAGGED ROPE dumped like RUMMAGE on the ROUGH RED brick made a RATHER interesting composition.



I REALIZE I have shown pictures of the Golden Gate Bridge before but sometimes its fun to REHASH favorite topics again.

For some strange reason I like this shot of the Calla Lilly insides.
To me it looks like it was drawn with pastel chalk.

ABC WEDNESDAY LETTER " Q "

I was in such a QUANDRY over posting for the letter " Q ".
Then QUMRAN came to mind.
Ten years ago this month my Hubby and I visited Israel and went to QUMRAN.
I took this picture of the Caves of QUMRAN where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found back in the late 1940's to early 50's.
The fragments and scrolls are ancient examples of the earliest known witnesses to the Hebrew Bible ( The Tanakh, The Old Testament).
One of the most special things for us is an exhibit that is at our church for just a few more days. We have the privilege of displaying authentic Scriptual Dead Sea Scrolls fragments before they go to their permanent home at Azuza Pacific University in Southern California.



I think this is QUITE an QUINTESSENTIAL shot of the clouds and sun flare.



Is this a QUIZZICAL alien or just a QUIRKY shot of the nose of an vintage airplane?



Last but not least....our Granddogger....the crazy QUADRUPED, racing around our QUADRANGLE yard on Mother's Day.

MOMS

This year will mark 15 years since my Mom passed away and 14 since my Mother in Law.
Wish they were here to celebrate the day.
Sunday is Mother's Day here in the USA.
How do you celebrate the occasion?
