STANDING OUT IN THE STREET SUNSET

Tuesday evening we had the beginnings of a beautiful sunset.
The only way I could really see it was to stand out in the middle of the street.
I love how the moon peaked out from behind the tree for me.

From the backyard I get the faint splashes of pink.
The most intense color is sadly hidden by trees and houses.
The air was still and the birds were going home to roost.
It was a lovely way to end the day.

I'm glad you got photos of that and posted them. I thought maybe it was an early "s" post.

Love Wanda's comment.

Justs georgous! Too many good sunsets are hidden by trees and buildings around here! It's hard to find a good place to go and snap!

My husband admonishes me to take photos from different perspectives than everyone else. You truly have that nailed. Beautiful color, especially when I clicked on them to enlarge them. Have a great, colorful weekend!

Such an intense sky. Hope it makes up for this weekend's dreary weather.

Thanks for the explanation of that building. I have always been wondering what it was.

it was well worth your standing in the street for us. i do that myself, the middle of our street is the best view of the Eastern sky since our trees block the view.

I like the softness of the pink in these shots.
