PLODDING ALONG

 Plodding along ...

I spent 2 hours yesterday practically standing on my head weeding these ever growing weeds!

It doesn't even look like I did much of anything out there by the grape vines.

I know I helped fill the green waste can though.  Many friends said to just mow them, but we can't .  Too many tree stumps and I want to get those things out by the roots.  Dave cut the "grass"  and it is starting to look more like someone lives here.

So today will be Day 3.  I will try to complete that patch of weeds and then move on to other spots.

Never a dull moment ... and the Excitement Builds !!!

Here's the latest view of our almond tree.

One day its full of blossoms and then the next its leaves busting out all over.

See all of that bushy green behind the tree?

That's the project coming soon.  I don't want that stuff going to seed.  Dave will weed whack it first and then we will try to make it disappear.

As I said before ...  The Excitement Never Ends !

Always be Grateful

Always be Kind

You're so funny and believe me, I know! We're going to be putting in more rocks, sometime this month. We're thinking ahead! But we have a hill in our back that is the problem. It's that darn vinca, that my dad liked and planted to "shore the hill up." as if it needed that. I wish we could put rocks on the hill, but that would be a bit too much expense - getting workers to rock it. But if we should ever win the 💰 lottery, that we never play - we dream of a beautifully landscaped hill with no vinca - while others dream of cars and fancy homes. 😁

Yes, it's too bad you can't mow them. The almond tree is looking good. Take care and don't work too hard.

Isn't it crazy how fast those trees change? Almost as fast as the weeds grow. Good for you for what you've gotten done!

That bending over to pull weeds is always rough on the back

Yard work is hard work and it is never done!

Looking good, Sue! I bit the bullet and did two rounds across the back (two to go) earlier today. It's not my idea of fun, but neither is having to pay someone else to do it.

Looks better and you work hard. You must have a huge yard.

Yards and weeds are the only two things that make a Over55 place look good to me...lolol

I would not call this excitement, but I would say it is healthy for both of you. I am living testament that hardwork keeps one going, and its not much FUN

That's a lot of hard work. You guys must be in pretty good shape to be able to do it.

I see those stumps. I have a mulching mower and those stumps would be a pain in the butt to go around. Great job on filling the bin! I can't wait to get out and play in the yard. Happy Spring. Cheers, Ivy.
