Well we survived the weekend and I say on to better days ahead.
We are so ready for uneventful times and just to enjoy each day we are blessed with.
Dave still isn't feeling up to par but hopefully amoxicillian will do the job. That's all I am going to say about that at this time.
Now on to some poster boards I finally looked at after many years.
At a bible study I attended way back in the late 1970's, we were given a project.
It was to, through photographs, show our feelings and thankfulness about someone we love and care for.
Big surprise ... I chose my husband. Now remember this was before digital processing and all I had was a point and shoot camera. I have retaken some of these with my phone now to preserve the "oldies but goodies".
I'll just show a few of the photos close up to explain what you are looking at.
Dave has always been the life of the party and was so loved at Sears for the 30 years he worked there. Lots of the staff meetings had him dressing up for something. He made a Big Bird costume and was a baby one time. Dave got to wear the real Winnie the Pooh costume and be Winnie for a promotion.
The photo on the bottom left is from 1961 when he sang with the San Francisco Opera company in their chorus of Die Meistersinger von Nurnberg. It was all in German and they just sang it phonetically not knowing any German.
Dave way back in 1965. He played SATCHMO and sang while our Pastor Roberts played a mean ragtime piano. So much fun to be able to let one's hair down.
Dave and Steve playing together.
Dedication of new born son Mark.
Dave as President Lincoln at a church function.
Dave singing in his college group quartet.
Loving on our best friends daughter and he really is that wild and crazy guy playing at his folks property in our "just married" days.
There are many more photos but I think that's enough for today.
Its just fun to reminisce about the years that have flown by.
Always be Grateful
Always be Kind

Great memories captured beautifully!
The photo of the man in a diaper is a bit unusual.
Oh, these are so great! I love this! What a treasure! You do need to keep these just the way they are. What a neat idea for a Bible Study project. Thank you for sharing these. I got a good glimpse into your other half and partner in life. I'd say you are blessed indeed.
He must be a wonderful singer, especially as he was in an opera company!! He must be so much fun, up for anything, including some tomfoolery!
Oh Sue ~ THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU. What fun and memories to share of you and especially your dearest Dave. He is hilarious and cute to boot. Loved all the pictures but when I saw "Pastor Roberts" my heart flipped!! Did not God put you and Dave into our lives to share so much!! Love you forever dear Sue, give that big hunk Dave a hug, and tell him to get well real soon.
Wow, I didn't know that Dave was an opera singer. We sure meet all kinds of interesting people on blogs. It's nice to go through the old photos and reminisce. Thanks for sharing
Such fun to look at all those memories! I can tell I would love Dave. You are blessed - and so is he!
Oh, my goodness Sue, you have sure lived a wonderful life, and Dave is a lucky man and you a lucky girl!
So many wonderful photos there. How fun all of Dave's costumes were.
What a super project! I'll bet it was such fun putting this together -- both then and today. I love Dave's joie de vivre ... and sense of humor, too. Blessings!
I love seeing your projects and seeing all the things you and Dave have done! To God be the glory!
even without your comments on the years, i can guess them, because they look like my life did too. these are super great memories. the pole lamp in the 60's caught my attention, we had a very similar one and i think I had 3 of them over the years. they were trending before trending was a word. ha ha... it was a great project and saved a lot of memory joggers
These photos do depict the fun loving nature that Dave has. This is a fabulous way to collect your photos and you have done this in such a way that tells Dave's story in life. I'm guessing there was a whole lot of reminiscing for you all when you were putting these together. I do hope he feels better soon and that the antibiotic kicks in quickly. Wishing you both a blessed day and that the simplicity of life finds you enjoying all that God has planned for you.
