I guess that the saying: "Slow and Steady Wins the Race" applies to Dave and I.
I do believe that things are multiplying in our garage!!!
This prepping for our Yard/Garage Sale is sort of a Necessary Monster.
Where in the world has all this STUFF come from? Maybe I can blame some of it on cleaning out my Mom and Dad's home and doing the same with Dave's Dad and Mom's home too.
But I guess the real answer is We are Semi- Organized Collectors and maybe a bit of hoarders too. We do get a charge out of the "Hunt".
But at 81 and 83 we just plain have to pare down our stash. Our sale will be on June 14 so there is still a bit of time and we are slowly wearing down ourselves. It Will Get Done and we will get a little cash in our pockets too. Thankfully we have family helping on the day of the sale.
So
Here's the photos of the 4 corners of our garage today. My Hubby is such a fantastic organized person. All the tubs are labeled for garage sale and also those things we are going to sell on eBay, that's definitely for another day. Big Job..
YES, to the question I hear coming through my computer ..
We do get our car in the garage every night.
Fortunately, we have a double garage and a small 3rd unit.
This is the 3rd garage space which has always been used as storage since we moved in.
We do have a few antiques and vintage pieces of furniture and rugs to sell to some lucky person.
Sigh
I do get tired ... just plain tired. I have developed an annoying cough from all the Old newspaper mold and dust. Praying that this won't develop into something worse. So if I don't get back to all of you and make comments , you know where I am ...buried... in the midst of boxes, researching items, labeling and putting back in tubs for easier set up.
Its all Good ..
Always be Grateful
Always be Kind

Wow, you have been hard at work! I can only imagine that you are tired! Good for you and Dave though! And it will be worth it when it's done.
As Mari said, it will be worth it when it is all done. But yeah, a lot of work. Stay cool
You are organized. Well done. I giggled at "We are Semi- Organized Collectors and maybe a bit of hoarders too." Same here for me until, oh, about two years ago. Then I ran out of room and realized none of this will go with me when I'm gone. So I set about doing the "holding the object for 5 minutes to see if I REALLY need it" trick and cleaned out the attic, toolshed, workshop and attic. Whew! What a job. Afterwards I felt relived to be rid of it all. Your place looks so nice and neat. 💖
Oh my gosh! well, have at least this much, but it is in our finished basement. Your health should take priority above getting rid of things. If this is what is causing your cough, you should either stop or try a dust mask.
wow, you have more in your garage than I have in my entire house. nothing in the garage but bob's tools and planes, he is the hoarder but nothing in the house. he only has his closet and a chest of drawers to hoard in. at least what you collected is not hoarding but has value and you can get money from it. we could not raise 400 if we sold everything in the house. its all junk because I am cheap to the bone, my daddies daughter. agree with Ginny, watch that mold, it is dangerous
I am certainly praying that you can take care of that cough before it does turn into something else.. My prayers for sure... I really wasn't expecting you all to have this much stuff when you were talking about having the garage sell...and look how organized your two are. This is awesome!! I hope every bit of it sells and you not only are free of the items, but I hope this garage sell benefits your pocket books heavily. Take care Sue...
Wow, that is a lot of stuff. We took have way too many things but I haven't felt like working on that yet. It's me that collects stuff, Mark doesn't at all. Glad your car still goes into the garage. You take care working out there.
Oh…I wish you energy and fortitude my friend! Slow and steady!
Your Dave reminds me so much of my late father. He could have taught a class on organization!
I'll bet your sale's going to be the talk of the town; fingers crossed it all sells and y'all can begin the 'hunt' once more..
You are organized!! I am impressed and I wish I were so. I also love the "hunt". I love to thrift and find all kinds of odds and ends. Best of luck with your sale and glad you will have some help.
Maybe you should just open the door of your garage and put up a sign for a new store in town...looks like you'd have enough "stock" to keep you in business for a while! LOL. I can see how that is a huge job to get ready and organized, but it looks like you've done a wonderful job of preparation. Please take care of yourself! Don't let that cough get out of control, and try to stay away from the dust and stuff as much as possible. Wishing you well in your sales. I know it will feel good to get it all cleaned out!! By all means, take some pictures on the sale days too. I'd love to see what's in those bins!!
Well, do watch the mold and air quality - you don't want to get sick.
I have to admit that you do have a lot of things in your garage. I hope you sell most of them and get some money for them.
We will probably move again in a couple years - so I am really trying to keep things limited.
Wishing you and Dave a beautful weather day on the 14th and a super successfiul yard sale.
That's a lot of stuff but so well organized. I wish I had a garage to store things in.
Oh Sue, I had to laught at one of your commentors "saying you have more in your garage that she has in her house"....I so agree!! And I thought I had every corner filled. Our tiny storage unit on the balcony is full too, but tiny compared to what you are dealing with. I've seen some of this in person...so I know who very organized Dave is. Praying you have a marvelous Yard Sale and can fill you pockets and checkbook. Wish I was there to help!!
Wow that is a lot of stuff to get through. But it looks fairly well organised.
Good luck on the upcoming sale and may you have many empty containers afterwards and some extra money in your pockets too.
My brother's a hoarder too, that looks a lot like his basement.
Wonderful organization! I am at the age where I am trying to minimize my possesions and Facebook Marketplace is an area where I sell locally. It's still a big job. Good luck with your sales!
Thank you for linking up!
wow i'm impressed - organizing and getting ready for a yard sale is a lot of work. And wow, good for Dave - all those bins organized. I have similar problems. Tons of art supplies that will never get use...a lot of old jewelry and knick knacks i need to unload. I just never get around to it.
You certainly have a lot of items to sell. Do you have to price everything that will be for sale, or do you have enough sellers/helpers to provide answers to customers enquiring "How much is this?" And how do you advertise your sale? I'd love to come to your sale, but it might be dangerous to my bank account. Plus.... I ask myself.... at my time of life do I really need more "stuff"?
What kind of art supplies?
