MY "VINTAGE" SPOON REST

I was just reading Sandra's blog post over at MadSnapper.

She was talking about what she uses for a spoon rest on her stove.

There has been lots of discussion about what people use.

So

Here's my everyday spoon rest.

My dear friend made this way back in 1977.  She made it at her senior Center for one of their activities.

She's been gone a very long time but I love having this reminder of her.

Its not the prettiest or the most well made, but I still use it chips and all

Because Helga Lillian made it for me.

Some things just have to be used all the time.!

Check out the MadSnapper link on my sidebar.

It really looks nice I think she did a really good job and I even like the color a lot.

I think it is lovely! I like the golden color, and it is the right shape for a spoon rest!

the color would go with the pioneer woman colors

That is so much more special than any store bought item.

That is a good one...and with the memories, that makes it all the better.

Better to use and sustain chips than keep in a safe place and never have the joy of revisiting fond memories every time you use it.

That is so unique. One of a kind... and it's yours! How special. You know me, I have several, that go with the seasonal decor. I keep an eye out at the Thrift Store for them.
