Blood Moon and Total LUNAR Eclipse.
We started out the evening with a spectacular sunset.
Those clouds made a gorgeous setting
But
They were very uncooperative and blocked the eclipse
For many.
I couldn't get the total LUNAR eclipse due to the clouds.
Wish I had a better picture but this will have to do.
There won't be another eclipse like this one for many, many years.
It's coming in 2033, to be exact.

we were sleeping during the eclipse but thanks to a few bloggers and you i get to see it
You got some fine pics. It was cloudy but cleared for a little bit. I snapped one when it was about half done but no blood red colouring. And then it got cloudy again. I'm glad you were able to enjoy... and share. :)

Rare happening.
Since I only live two hours away from you - the same gorgeous sunset, and you got a mysterious view, but for us too cloudy to even see the (red) moon much later after the eclipse had passed!
I completely forgot about the Luna event until it was over. But I saw many pictures of it on the internet.

My alarm clock woke me up at 04:45 in the night. I saw the moon although very small and I couldn't take a good photo! But I saw a moon. like a currant or a raison.I was impressed.

What a spectacular show the moon has offered this past few days. The opening act (sunset) was equally outstanding lately.

2033 might be a problem for me, but I'll try to be there.
Lovely clear skies here in the UK and one astronomer said it was the best harvest/eclipse/blood moon he had seen. Unfortunately I went back to sleep after waking up and missed the whole darn thing so you did a whole lot better me.
Great photos, considering the cloud. We had clear skies here and a lovely view early in the evening. I was glad to see it, and the last two before it. Think 2033 is beyond my shelf life....
The clouds may have blocked the moon, but they made a lovely picture all by themselves. - Margy

I didn't see the eclipse. It was 5 a.m. and it was cold outside. I didn't want to leave my bed :D
