FIRST THE SUN AND THEN THE STORM

Yesterday I went out to the backyard to take a few spring blossom pictures. The sun was brilliant with some beautiful puffy white clouds. When I turned around this is what I saw. The angry dark clouds were ready to let go any minute so I took a few more shots and went back inside just in time. Just up the freeway about 45 minutes away they got a full night of snow.
This morning we had a thick cover of frost.
Welcome Spring!
Enlarging this picture will show more detail.

And there goes the fruit! That's what happens here in Northern AZ too! It warms up..fruit trees bloom and then it freezes, as it did last night. Bah!

Great photo though:)

Sooooo beautiful -
reminiscent of a Japanese painting.

How lucky that your well-trained eye caught this image at just the right moment. It is truly exceptional,
the composition, the colors, the blossoms, the background, I am in awe, I really really am! Congratulations!

What fun! I got our sprinkler system and fountains running in Delta on Saturday, and today it snowed! It is good to be home with family in any case!

Glad to see you visiting again. I don't get to many blogs these days, but do try to publish as often as possible.

That's the way it is here: springtime in the day, winter at night. A great sky in this one!

Oh, you too have a frost during nights!
But those flowers are so beautiful against the dark sky.

Sun and flowers to you, Sue!

That is magical!

That picture you took really is very nice. Angry clouds in the background with the peaceful flowers is a great comparison.

What a shot! Full of peace and commotion at the same time.

I love the angry sky behind the cheery blossoms.. not to be confused with cherry blossoms. ;)

This picture is stunning, with its play on dark and light. Love it - and yes, it has been cold. Happy Spring!

This is really wonderful photo with that branch full of lovely and innocent blossoms against that dramatic sky.
It is almost the same weather over here; spring today and winter tomorrow, but also it is not unusual any more if we have spring in the morning but winter till the end of the day...:-)

I really love this one. The contrast of the flowers with the dark clouds is eye-catching. This would look good matted and framed.
