Flashback Friday
Everyone has been posting pictures of the snow in their areas.
I thought I would share photos of our one and only morning of snow since we have lived in this home in Rocklin,CA.
The year was 2008. We had only been in our home for a year. It was pretty exciting for the few hours it was there.
It was fun to go back into my archives and think about the Snow That Was.
Today the sun is shinning and the next chance for rain is Tuesday.
Hope you all have a great weekend, stay warm and dry.
Always be Grateful
Always be Kind.
How pretty! No matter our physical age, I think a fresh snowfall brings out the little child in each of us.
ReplyDeleteWe had a snow in Savannah GA when my son who turned 61 last Saturday was 3 and Dan was 1, so 1967. most people there had never seen snow, it was a lark, we made a pitiful snowman, it was only about an inch, but had a lot of fun. Since we lived in KY for 5 years I was familiar with it but in the deep south it was a rare fun time..
ReplyDeleteIt's pretty! Right now it's snowing here yet again, so it's hard for me to imagine no snow since 2008!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is the last one of the pine tree. Only ONCE in this entire time!!!
ReplyDeleteNice to see the snow on your page!
ReplyDeleteThat is really beautiful snow! I know you enjoyed it! Gosh, that's been a while! Of course, we've NEVER had snow here where we live, but I am well familiar with it from our years up north in the real snows of New England, Michigan, and Ohio. That's one reason why we moved back to Florida! LOL. It's pretty to look at, but not to drive in or shovel! Your pictures are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI just love that last photo - so pretty. We don't get much snow at all either.
ReplyDeleteI can imagine how exciting that would be seeing it. When you get as much as we do here the charm wears off rather quickly
ReplyDeleteWe don't really get much snow here either. Love the shot of the cedar tree with the snow!!

These photos made me smile. Oh Sue! There are times I wish this was the only amount of snow I knew!
ReplyDeletePretty pictures of the snow you got that year. Yes, I remember when I lived in your area we never got to see the snow, and had to drive up to Pollock Pines to enjoy it. We had snow all this week, and the neighborhood is covered. It's been so very cold here too. But I'm staying warm drinking lots of coffee and visiting sweet blog posts this morning. : )
ReplyDeleteLovely photos. I would have to go through a lot of years also to find some snow photos from our house here in Southern CA. Enjoy your weekend.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty. Wonderful photos. After going through three different years of snow here in the Southeast, I'm grateful we don't live anywhere that it snows on a regular basis. It's too cold and wet for me.🍀
ReplyDeleteIt was nice to hear that "Nothing Bundt Cake" is your favorite. I don't think I've ever had it until Jess sent me a slice of red velvet. It was so moist and Yummy. I do love the Small Cakes in your area, if you're familiar with that? Every time I'm in town, I stop there for a cupcake or two...or three. ; )
ReplyDeleteOooops, I think it's spelled Smallcakes.
DeleteIt looks so pretty.
ReplyDeleteYou do get snow where you live now though, don't you?
This was a nice memory shared, Sue, and it must have been very exciting to see that CA snowfall. We have grown used to seeing snow in our native NJ and now living in New England, but regardless a snowfall is still lively to see.
