A few of you asked about my Charlie Brown Christmas Tree.
Yes that was my intention. The branch hangs in a shadow box on our family room wall. I felt that the tiny green ball was the perfect accent on the stark branch.
A friend made the shadow box for us a few years ago and I really enjoy the character of it.
I didn't get any photos of our group. There was some heavy duty conversation going on and it just wouldn't have been appropriate. We did have lots of laughter along with the yummy homemade chicken enchiladas Debra made for us. We always eat GOOD at our get togethers!

Gosh, I never would have guessed that was a shadowbox!
ReplyDeleteYour holiday table looks so welcoming ... where memories are made. Thank you for inviting me in!

ReplyDeleteYou have a lovely home. The table is beautiful and I'm sure your group had a great time.
You know, you could make some more of that shadowbox and branch and sell it. I'd buy it. I love it. Maybe next year I will make me one!
ReplyDeleteMan, you have a huge table - I sure wish we did.
ReplyDeleteI do love your tree in that Shadowbox. Gorgeous.

Your home looks so cozy, and your tree is beautiful! I love the tree painting in the second photo.
ReplyDeleteI didn't even notice the little ornament on the tree. Now I like it even more. Your home sure looks nice. Your tree is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThis is a wonderful time of year for get togethers with friends and yours was undoubtedly much enjoyed, Sue, by you and Dave and your guests and the table setting looks festive. I also liked your little tree in the shadow box.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tree, good idea to display it in the window in lieu of outdoor lights. What was the topic of the heavy duty conversation? Enquiring minds want to know.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the nice comment but I don't know who you are. Please let me know...
DeleteI have an unusual, uncommon name so I don't use it on the internet. I do use my Disqus username/display name which is Sweetallysum...I usually frequent political sites.
DeleteOh wow, your little Charlie Brown tree is adorable. Is that the same "tree" for each year, or do you replace it? It's really a neat art piece! And I LOVE your big table and Christmas tree and how everything looks so festive and happy for your dinner party. I can just imagine how that table was filled with many wonderful souls, enjoying the laughter and the fellowship and the good conversations, as well as the wonderful food! I know it was very special. Oh, how I wish you weren't so far away. You are my kind of people! And of course, you know how happy I am with the little treasures you sent me! I've had such a good time with them this week! Thank you for making it possible! Have a blessed and wonderful Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI love all your decorations and the Charlie Brown tree is delightful 😊
ReplyDeleteI just love that on the wall. It is so pretty. Those treats look delicious. Your decorations are so pretty. How nice of you to have that gathering at your place. Sounds like a great meal too.
ReplyDeleteI love this shadow box and I might have to look for one :) It looks/sounds like your get together was a good time for fellowship. Thank you for linking up and have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteThe picture above the dresser with the white birch trees reminds me of "old" artwork I would have seen as a child in the 1970's. There was a layer of gloss on the surface and it was usually scenes like this one.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the Charlie Brown Christmas tree. Snoopy is a fav of mine. The single green ornament is perfect for it. What a nice gathering you had, and the chicken enchiladas sound delicious. I was noticing your brick fireplace. It reminds me so much of my mom's growing up. The Christmas tree and lights look beautiful looking through the window. The pecan treats for your guests look Yummy. I love pecans, and my son just bought a pecan pie after I returned home from my trip. You have a lovely home, and it was nice to see it decorated for Christmas.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week.
