GOATS TO THE RESCUE

Hot temperatures...three weeks in the triple digits...

Wild fires are taking their toll here in California.

A very rainy winter made the weeds and grasses explode.

This is our area's way of creating defense-able space.

Goats are brought in to get a juicy meal and we get the grasses mowed.

Here's the posted explanation for the wonderful goats.

It's so great to see the fields cleared and it helps everyone feel safer.

Hi Sue ~ Love your goat story...how interesting. We had a goat when I was growing up.

When I can find a minute or two...I will message you. Some things going on...

They bring in goats here, too. And they have those huge white dogs that guard them.

what a super duper idea to use the goats... they will eat anything, even the blouse off our backs. LOL.... sorry to hear about the heat and we have been watching the fires., hope you are safe from all that.

Oh my goodness, I didn't know that! Are the goats in a public place like a park, or in farmers fields? And who do they belong to? How long will they stay there?

I found this on the internet.... the goats have escaped!

Thanks for the explanation about the goats, I think this is a brilliant idea! More towns should adopt this method of invasive weed control even if there is no danger of fires.
