RESCUE ME
I fell in love with this sculpture at a Garden Nursery we visited this last weekend. The boy climbing the ladder to rescue Kitty was tucked into a corner and became part of the decorations, and I almost missed it. I'm afraid it was a bit out of my price range. I guess its the whimsy of the subject matter that attracted me.
As always enlarging the picture will help you see the detail.

I feel as if I'm witnessing a dream: this picture has such a glowy quality to it that I can't stop staring at it.
I can see why the sculpture attracted your eye, but I'll venture that your capture of it makes it especially memorable.
Wow! Absolutely outstanding!
I didn't realize it was a statue until I read your text. I do like it very much.
Poor moggie, he's stuck up there forever... a moment frozen in time.
oh i would have fallen for it too, Sue.......beautiful sculpture....and very life-like too
So how pricey was it?
I really love unusual garden statues and that one there is unique.
Bear((( )))
The art piece speaks to the heart. I can see why it captured yours.
Oh what a capture you got with that one....
Can't wait to have a camera back in my hand.
I love this~~~
That sculpture really is impressive and interesting. I like it very much. It reminds me of one of Tom Soyer adventures. :-)
It is a compelling piece of art.
Yes, the photo is attractive because it approximates reality in an unobtrusive way.
About 20 years ago, I wanted to go into the garden ornament business! My family wasn't overly enthused, so I dropped it. That world has exploded since.
I'm enamored of these whimsical sculptures and your black and white photo has captured this one wonderfully.
There's a perfect place for this boy and his kitty here on the One Acre Wood! Too pricy for me though, I'm sure:)
I'd love that sculpture in my garden.
Ahhhh...
You know, I never thought I would become a cat person until someone moved away and gave me their cat... Non-cat people just don't understand...
Very nice photo, B&W works great with this subject! I really wonder though if the cat needed to be rescued:)
I, too didn't realize it was a statue when I first looked at it. I can almost hear the cat meowing for help.
An interesting sculpture, and photo - Dave
You always find the neatest images!! I LOVE this!!
That is a really beautiful sculpture. Just wonderful and sweet.
You did a great job capturing it.
Terrific eye and photo.
Well done in B/W.
