THE DESERT
This was the view out my plane window as we left the Arizona airport. What a barren, rough dry land. I wouldn't like to be climbing any of those ridges. Be sure to enlarge this picture to see the ridges more clearly.
vraiment impressionnante cette vue du ciel du désert. "J'ai toujours aimé le désert. On s'assoit sur une dune de sable. On ne voit rien. On n'entend rien. Et cependant quelque chose rayonne en silence... " Antoine de Saint-Exupéry
really impressive this view of the desert sky. "I've always loved the desert. It sits on a sand dune. It sees nothing. We have not heard anything. And yet something radiates in silence ..." Antoine de Saint-Exupery
I loved my Grandma and this photo reminds me of the skin on the back of her hands. It was soft and wrinkly but her touch always showed that you were loved.
Good Friday to you! Those words of mrs.me got almost tears in my eyes! The photo is really good and puts also to think plenty of things. Have a good weekend!
When I flew from LA to Toronto I flew over landscapes like that. It was so fascinating that I just looked out of the window the whole time.... until the land started to look greener. I had never seen anything so beautiful before. Just like flying over a model of mountains.
I love to see these pictures - from above with a great huge perspective! (better seen from above than tramping around on those dry hills...sweating :))

Gosh - you could fry an egg on that ground!!
Not a speck of green to be seen!!!!
Wow. I don't find that very appealing.

That's an amazing shot! I love the contrast with the wing.
And I love Mrs. Me's comment.. too sweet!

Yeah, better "up there" than "down there"...

It's such an interesting terrain from the air. So strange looking.
This is really beautiful photo and impressive look of that rough dry land. I have to say that I too was moved by "Mrs.me" comment.
It almost looks like the surface of the moon - desolate!
I have done good deal of flying between LA & Colorado, and never tire of that landscape.
I love to watch the terrain below when we are flying....it is always so amazing!
Aerial photographs have always fascinated me. This one is amazing.
Now that is desert!!!
Give me some green grass!!!
Amazing view and photo!
It's amazing how carved it looks. Hard to believe it's the land of the earth down there.
ooouuuuuu, aahhhhhhhhh
